ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Throughout his adolescence, Luis Cariola accompanied his father to travel to the most remote corners of the province of Salta, Argentina, since his father's passion was sport fishing.
On these trips, they often came across small villages that lacked the most basic resources to survive. On some occasions, the State sent brave teachers to teach the children the fundamental principles of learning.
This experience left a deep impression on Luis and gave him the dream of doing something for those children with abilities and a desire to excel.
And so, 25 years ago, Luis decided to settle in Miami, United States, and legally found the “Luis Cariola Foundation” together with his children Luis María, Mariano and Inés Cariola. The objective of this foundation is to provide full scholarships to outstanding students from the capital city of Salta, covering food, housing, books and pre-university and university studies.
To carry out this task, they have the support of Brothers of the Franciscan Order and the immense support of the NGO Nuestras Huellas.
We are a committed team with the children and adolescents of Salta, financing the education of young people from schools in extreme poverty.
We welcome them, provide them with food, accommodation and academic support in the city.
